BIM Q&A | Is the BIM Modeler Certificate Issued by the Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security?
BIM (Building Information Modeling) is an emerging technology in the architectural field that has gained widespread adoption across the country over the past two years. Many major design firms, consulting companies, and construction enterprises are now establishing their own R&D teams. Today, anyone involved in construction can speak knowledgeably about BIM.
This innovative technology is transforming design and construction management, fundamentally changing how professionals work and manage projects. Young engineers, with their strong learning capabilities, are expected to play a vital role in this industry transformation.
In alignment with the “Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Further Strengthening Talent Work” and the directions given at the “National Vocational Education Work Conference,” efforts are underway to accelerate vocational education development. The goal is to build a highly skilled workforce, cultivate diverse talents, preserve technical expertise, and promote employment and entrepreneurship.
In this spirit, the Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, together with the Chinese Society of Graphic Design, has jointly launched the “National BIM Skill Level Examination.” The 11th National BIM Skill Level Examination is scheduled for December this year, and engineers interested in participating are encouraged to seize this opportunity.
BIM represents a significant opportunity for young engineers in the construction industry today. Success depends largely on their ability to learn and adapt.
Note:
- The National BIM Skill Level Examination Certificate is issued by the National Human Resources and Social Security Bureau as the “BIM Modeling Engineer Job Ability Certificate,” and by the Chinese Society of Graphic Arts as the “National BIM Level Examination Certificate,” which is divided into Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.
- Certificate numbers can be verified on the Education and Training website of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China and the official website of the Chinese Society of Graphic Sciences.
- Human resources departments and bidding review agencies at various enterprises can authenticate the certificates through these platforms.
What benefits does obtaining the certificate bring?
- Students: Earning BIM and other related certificates allows participation in university credit and scholarship programs.
- Leadership: Enhances leadership performance and strengthens qualifications for project bidding.
- Career: Accelerates professional growth, boosts competitiveness and personal reputation, and increases appeal to employers.
- Qualification: The national BIM skill level examination certificate has become a fundamental requirement in BIM project bidding.
