BIM Q&A | Viewing 3D Drawings in DWG or DXF Formats, Including Autodesk Navisworks
Required Features:
- Ability to view 3D drawings in DWG or DXF formats.
- Use of a ruler line to navigate views from top to bottom, front to back, and left to right. When viewing from one direction, you can adjust the height scale line to hide 3D objects above this line, displaying only those below it. This functionality is similar for the other directions.
- Low memory consumption.
Professionals familiar with engineering construction and mechanical manufacturing know that DWG and DXF are the standard formats for CAD drawings, much like DOC is for Word documents. To open these files accurately, specialized CAD software is required. However, the speed at which different CAD software opens these files can vary significantly, impacting designers’ efficiency.
The CAD software we are introducing today not only opens DWG and DXF drawings quickly but also offers several other advantages. It’s called CAD Drawing King (PC version), and launching the software is straightforward. Simply double-click the “CAD Drawing King” icon on your desktop to open it, which will bring up the “CAD Drawing King DWG Association” dialog box. Choose one of the provided options to start working with your drawings.
