BIM Q&A | Unable to Save STP Gray Color After Changing It in CATIA

I have a STEP format file with an original green color. After opening it in CATIA, I changed the green to yellow in both assembly and part modes (I tried twice). Then, I saved the file again in STP format (not S T E P). However, when I opened it in AD19, the color remained green. Why does this happen, and how can I fix it?
I also tried setting compatibility to 214ISO mode, but it didn’t work. This color change works fine with files created directly in CATIA, but the file that isn’t working was created in another software, which I don’t know.
