BIM Q&A | How to Manually Install the Navisworks Exporter Plugin
Follow these steps to manually install or repair the Navisworks exporter plugin:
1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Navigate to the list of installed programs (Programs and Features).
3. Locate the Navisworks exporter plugin entry without language packs. (You may see separate entries for 64-bit and 32-bit versions.)
4. Click on Uninstall/Change.
5. Select Repair or Reinstall.
6. Choose Repair and click Repair, then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process and test the exporter.
7. If the repair does not resolve the issue, repeat steps 1-4, then in step 6 select Reinstall instead.
If these steps don’t work, you can manually reset the exporter settings by:
1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Go to the list of installed programs (Programs and Features).
3. Select the Navisworks exporter plugin entry without language packs (again, you may have both 64-bit and 32-bit versions).
4. Click Uninstall/Change.
5. Click on Add or Remove Features.
6. In the list of programs associated with the exporter, uncheck the related exporter feature and click Update. Once completed, you will return to the list of installed programs.
7. Select the Navisworks exporter plugin entry again (without language packs).
8. Click Add or Remove Features once more.
9. Click to Restore Default Values.
10. Click Update and follow the prompts to complete the process and test the exporter.
