BIM Q&A | Looking to build a computer for Lumion 6.0. Does anyone have a recommended configuration list? Please share if you do.
Here are the official hardware requirements for Lumion 6.0:
Graphics Card: A graphics card with a PassMark score of 8000 or higher and at least 6GB of VRAM is required. The minimum supported model is the NVIDIA GTX 1060 with 6GB GDDR5 memory.
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
CPU: A processor with a core clock speed of 4.0 GHz or higher is necessary. Recommended CPUs include Intel Core i7-4790K, i7-6700K, or i7-7700K. Lumion 6.0 utilizes up to 4 cores for rendering, so CPUs with more than 4 cores (e.g., Intel Xeon or AMD Ryzen with higher core counts) will not provide faster performance.
Memory: At least 16GB of RAM is required. Higher memory speeds will improve performance.
Display: A screen resolution of 1920×1080 or higher is recommended.
Storage: At least 20GB of free disk space is needed.
Power Supply: Should be selected based on the CPU and graphics card used in the build.
