BIM Q&A | Can Archicad Create Components Like Sketch?
Is it possible for Archicad to create components similar to Sketch, where you can copy and modify an entirely different component? I know external linking is an option, but it’s quite inconvenient. Does anyone have insight on this?

In my opinion, this difference comes down to their distinct application purposes, each with its own strengths. GDL (Geometric Description Language) is used to create custom components and objects for reuse, allowing precise modifications through deformable bodies. On the other hand, MOD files are designed for standard layers, helping maintain consistent component properties.
