BIM Q&A: How to Adjust the Slope Ratio in Revit 1.6

BIM Q&A | How to Adjust the Slope Ratio in Revit 1.6

There are three approaches you can take:

1. Use the stairs tool to set the top and bottom limits along with offsets. Then, adjust the number of steps in the properties panel. This will automatically calculate the appropriate step height.

2. Create a custom contour family for the floor edge, for example, naming it “outdoor stairs.” Generate the new floor edge by selecting this family. Note that you will need to manually calculate the step height and width for this method.

3. Model the stairs directly and adjust the slope by stretching the geometry as needed.
