BIM Q&A | Why Doesn’t the Newly Created Window Glass in Revit 2016 Change with Height?


Tempered glass is required for exterior windows on the 7th floor and above.
According to JGJ103-2008 “Technical Specification for Plastic Doors and Windows Engineering”, tempered glass must be used in any of the following cases:
1. Window glass with an area larger than 1.5 square meters;
2. Window glass located less than 900 mm above the floor tread;

3. Sloped windows angled at no more than 75° from the horizontal plane, including skylights and other ceiling windows;
4. Exterior windows on buildings that are 7 stories or taller.
