BIM Q&A | What Is the Purpose of Using Revit to Create a Grid?
I am currently teaching myself Revit and trying to understand why people import Revit files into CAD and then modify the grid on each floor. What is the advantage of doing this? Looking for insights from experts.
The imported CAD files are mainly used as reference. Ultimately, the CAD drawings need to be hidden in the final model. When creating drawings within Revit—which often mimic CAD-style drawings—it’s important to include all grid elements, as they are essential and cannot be omitted.
