BIM Q&A | Which is Better: ArchiCAD or Tianzheng?
I have never used ArchiCAD before in the field of architecture.
First, let’s clarify the fundamental differences between these two software solutions.
ArchiCAD:
ArchiCAD offers a unique BIM-based construction documentation solution. It streamlines the modeling and documentation process, even when working with highly detailed building models. ArchiCAD’s BIM workflow supports the project from start to finish, allowing models to be utilized throughout the entire lifecycle.
Tianzheng:
Tianzheng is a secondary development software built on AutoCAD, designed to help construction professionals simplify and standardize complex drawing tasks.
Determining which software is better depends largely on the user’s specific needs. If the user focuses primarily on construction drawing drafting, Tianzheng excels due to its ease of use and efficient module access.
On the other hand, during the design phase, especially when there is room for significant investment, ArchiCAD offers considerable advantages later in the project. As a BIM software, ArchiCAD provides intelligence, integration, and centralized project information that can greatly enhance overall project execution.
In summary, neither software is definitively better or easier to use. It’s like comparing chopsticks and forks—you can’t say one is universally superior to the other.
