BIM Q&A | Configuring ProjectWise as a Platform for Revit in Bentley Software Series

BIM Q&A | Using ProjectWise in Bentley Software as a Platform for Revit Requires Specific Configuration

Do I need to set up a dedicated server for ProjectWise in the Bentley software suite when using it as a platform for Revit? Also, how much does it cost? For civil engineering projects, which option is easier to use? Please provide a clear explanation. Our company is starting to implement BIM and would like to learn more.

ProjectWise already includes its own server infrastructure, so you only need to install a plugin within Revit to connect it to ProjectWise. There’s no need to configure a separate dedicated server.

To clarify, if your company already uses the ProjectWise platform, all you need is to install the free ProjectWise plugin for Revit to enable integration and use it as your Revit platform.
