BIM Q&A | Recently, I’ve developed a strong interest in Revit. What are some recommended video resources for learning Revit steel structure modeling?
Please don’t suggest xsteel from Finland. Although some of my classmates have recommended it, I specifically want to focus on using Revit for steel structure modeling. I started working with a steel structure company this year, and until now, my knowledge of steel structures was mostly from university textbooks.
For the past two months, I’ve been using the msteel plugin alongside CAD for modeling. I’ve heard from university friends that BIM is the future, so I’ve been exploring Revit lately. However, I find Revit less convenient compared to msteel with CAD when it comes to modeling. Of course, this might be because I’m still unfamiliar with it.
When searching online, I noticed that Revit isn’t widely recommended for steel structure modeling, and there aren’t many relevant tutorial videos available. I hope experts can share quality teaching videos or similar resources to help with learning.
