BIM Q&A | What Are BIM Plugins Used for in Revit?

Recently, I created a pile foundation family—a regular concrete model—in Revit. I wanted to add a steel cage to this family, but when I tried selecting it, a window popped up stating that the selected component type is not a pile or the material is not concrete.

I attempted various solutions, such as changing the model type to a structural column and selecting the option to attach steel bars to the main body for regular models. However, this dialog box kept appearing.

If you use a structural column from the system families, there are plugins available to reinforce it. How do you properly set this up? I would greatly appreciate expert advice on this matter.
