BIM Q&A | How to Learn ArchiCAD 18?
I already have a solid foundation in AutoCAD and Revit and can use both proficiently. Now, I want to switch to ArchiCAD for work, but I have never used this software before. Where can I find a comprehensive tutorial that covers the basics systematically? The tutorials I find online are usually aimed at users who already have some experience with ArchiCAD, so they’re not very helpful for beginners like me.
For example, changing the position and thickness of a wall is straightforward in Revit, or I can modify or redraw it directly in AutoCAD. However, with ArchiCAD, I don’t know where to start. Similarly, I want to change the window profile or create another in-place mass/model, but I’m unsure how to do this in ArchiCAD.
Overall, ArchiCAD feels like a hybrid of AutoCAD and Revit, combining some functions from both, but its workflow is quite different and unfamiliar to me.
