BIM Q&A | Can a Ryzen 1600 with GTX 1050 Ti and Lumion 6.0 Run Smoothly?
I believe Lumion is becoming a popular rendering tool and will likely be mainstream in the near future. However, it demands a powerful graphics card.
As a sophomore architecture student, my budget is limited, so I can’t afford a high-end graphics card right now. Recently, graphics card prices on JD.com have surged, partly due to increased demand and shortages.
I’m considering buying a GTX 1060 or 1070 with 6GB of VRAM, but their prices are still too high for me—anything under 1800 RMB would be acceptable. At the moment, the GTX 1050 Ti is the most I can afford.
Another idea is to get a basic, affordable graphics card to use temporarily. Then, after prices for the GTX 1060 drop—possibly due to the mining market cooling off—I could upgrade to the 1060.
Does this plan make sense, or is there a better approach?
