BIM Q&A | Can You Recommend a Computer That Can Run Lumion 8?
After finishing an indoor project during my junior year in Environmental Arts, my rendering laptop started crashing frequently. It currently runs Lumion 6, but the F2 image quality setting doesn’t properly display both the sky and water. With a new landscape project coming up, I’m considering upgrading my computer. The release of Lumion 8 has only strengthened my decision to switch.
I have very little knowledge about computers. For laptops, it seems difficult to find one under 10,000 yuan. I’m not familiar with the market at all.
What about desktop computers? Is it possible to get one for around five to six thousand yuan? It seems like you can customize your own PC; is that true? How can I tell if building one is really that complicated? Where should I start?
