BIM Q&A | Why Do CATIA 3D Imports Often Contain Numerous Lines in Forecast Simulations?

BIM Q&A | Why Are There So Many Lines When Importing CATIA 3D Models Into Forecast Simulations?

I am collaborating with classmates on a crafts project where I handle the 3D modeling, and they are responsible for running casting simulations. After importing the 3D model I created into their simulation software, my classmates often need to delete numerous lines.

What causes this issue, and how can it be minimized or avoided? Additionally, what principles or logic does CATIA use that might explain this behavior?

In my workflow, I primarily use commands to design convex platforms, grooves, and multi-section solid bodies with intermediate parts, as well as surface modeling techniques.
