BIM Q&A: How Does CATIA's Dynamic Cutting Tool Work?

BIM Q&A | CATIA Dynamic Cutting Tool Issue
In the Part Design module of CATIA V5R2014, the dynamic cutting tool does not display the cutting status when using the measuring tool to cut objects. Previously, in versions R20 and R21, it was possible to use the measuring tool during cutting.

In the Assembly module, the cutting command works normally with the measuring tool, but dynamic cutting in the Part Design module is not available.

Could anyone provide some guidance on this? Is there a setting that needs to be adjusted? I have searched extensively online and compared the settings directories between R20 and R2014 version by version, but I still haven’t found a solution.
