BIM Q&A | Is there a Dynamo Plugin to Calculate Building Energy Consumption?
From what I understand, calculating energy consumption directly within Revit models currently requires uploading the model to Insight360. Compared to dedicated energy analysis software like EnergyPlus, this approach offers limited flexibility and usability.
Personally, I find Grasshopper’s Ladybug and Honeybee plugins very effective for energy modeling. However, it appears these tools have been significantly scaled down on the Dynamo platform, and they no longer support energy consumption calculations.
There are also specialized energy analysis programs such as IESVE and Revit, which provide one-way integration capabilities. Given this, if you are looking to calculate energy consumption using Dynamo, are there any available solutions or workflows you can recommend?
