The Hankook Technology Park embodies the style and stature of Hankook Company as a global brand, highlighting its remarkable achievements in engineering and manufacturing. This ten-story building serves as the headquarters for Hankook and its affiliated subsidiaries, featuring a state-of-the-art commercial reporting hall with seating for 175.

The architect designed a spiral spatial layout centered around the atrium, creating varying heights throughout the building. This staggered design fosters visual and collaborative communication among employees while allowing ample natural light to flood the interior spaces.

Within the atrium, a large-scale art installation titled “Digital Leaf Sequence,” created by Jason Bruges Studio, immerses visitors as they ascend the escalator. Symbolizing a tree canopy, this installation brings a natural element indoors, enhancing the experience with dynamic light, shadow, and color shifts. The reception area also features a triptych artwork named “Dynamic Tread.”

The facade design was carefully crafted to maximize natural light penetration. Glass louvers with varying densities were installed to meet different indoor lighting needs. For instance, social areas receive abundant natural light to create a comfortable rhythm, while workspaces utilize intelligent artificial lighting systems for precise illumination control. This approach not only satisfies functional lighting requirements but also produces a distinctive visual effect.

The architect chose a warm color palette for the material panels to complement the natural and flexible workspace. Emphasizing nature’s role, numerous indoor trees are distributed across each floor, accompanying users throughout their spatial journey. The central atrium is designed as a space for informal meetings and rest, fostering collaboration and communication. This approach supports diverse work styles and cultivates a creative environment that inspires innovation.

The design breaks traditional spatial hierarchies by placing senior management on the same floors as their teams, promoting equality within the company’s internal structure. The top-level administrative lounge offers an informal meeting space for executives to exchange ideas freely. Additionally, the building houses health facilities, an employee cafeteria, a gym, landscaped terraces, and a rooftop lounge. The rooftop garden provides panoramic views of the Banqiao area and serves as a versatile space for various company events.
