The green space complex on the hillside of Sada New City is a multifunctional conference center covering approximately 46,178.7 square meters. It offers a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces designed for entertainment, clubs, lounges, and shops. Sada New City, located 18 kilometers northwest of Shiraz, Iran, was established in the 1990s. This complex stands as a pioneering landmark in this emerging city.

The design concept is thoughtfully executed, reflecting not only in the building’s appearance but also throughout the project’s material choices and functionality. Each major function within the complex is expressed through a unique architectural form, and together, these individual buildings create a cohesive whole. A standout characteristic of this project is its adaptability and diversity, perceptible at various scales.

The conference center comprises several independent buildings, including restaurants, cafes, residences, hotels, exhibition and cultural centers, office buildings, sports facilities, and ceremony halls. The project was designed in 2007, with construction starting in 2008. Two of the five completed buildings have already opened and are operational.
The southeast section of the site is dedicated to gathering spaces, housing the ceremony hall. The exhibition hall and cultural center, located in the southern part of the complex, opened to the public alongside the ceremony hall in 2013. The café and exhibition hall in the central area run along a north-south axis, connected by a bridge above ground level. Future plans include the construction of residential buildings, hotels, sports centers, and office buildings.
The exhibition building is situated on the hillside beneath the café gallery. Covering a total area of 1,070 square meters over three floors, it serves both exhibition and catering functions. The exhibition hall connects directly to the café on the upper level via a bridge that links the two structures. Additionally, the exhibition building integrates with a sports tunnel that leads to other parts of the complex. Its volume and form closely relate to the cube-shaped gallery building above; the exhibition building’s deformed cube shape is a folded interpretation of the gallery’s partial form.

The volumes and forms of the two buildings interact through the concepts of attenuation and the relationship between time and space. If the gallery’s design principle is to be shaped by its surrounding volumes while expressing its own characteristics, then the adjacent exhibition hall represents the initial stage of this mutual influence. It embodies ideas of attenuation, tilt, constriction, and fusion, reflecting a dynamic architectural dialogue.
