Why Can’t Filter Conditions Be Added When Setting Rules for Revit Filters? When creating a new filter and attempting to set filter rules, you might find that filter conditions cannot be added, even after clicking “More Parameters.” What causes this issue?
There are two main reasons for this problem:
1. No category has been selected.
If no category is chosen, you cannot add rules because the system doesn’t know which elements to apply the rules to. Therefore, you must first select a category before adding filter rules.
2. The selected category lacks corresponding parameter values.
When selecting multiple categories, ensure that there is a common parameter among them to serve as the filtering criterion. Without a shared parameter, the selected categories cannot be treated as a single group or differentiated from other elements.
