How to Modify Pipeline Fittings in Revit
In Revit, pipeline fittings often need to be adjusted to meet the owner’s requirements, especially if they were not set correctly during the initial modeling phase. To address this, it’s essential to perform unified modifications on the fittings later in the process.
Here’s a step-by-step method to modify pipeline fittings efficiently:
1. Select the pipelines you want to modify. Use the Tab key to select all relevant fittings, then open the filter tool and choose only the pipelines, as illustrated below.
2. Change the pipeline type to the pre-configured pipeline type that meets your requirements, as shown in the example.
3. After selecting all the pipelines using the Tab key, click Reapply Type. This allows you to update all fittings to the preset type with a single click, streamlining the modification process.
Note: Standardizing pipeline fitting types in Revit not only saves significant time when making model adjustments but also enhances the quality of the model during early stages, especially when fitting details are not yet finalized.
