Lumion 6.0 Lighting Not Visible in Preview but Shows Up in Render

In Lumion 6.0, lights may not appear in the viewport but are visible when rendering. Why do the lights not show up after being set, yet still appear in the final render?

If the lights you placed are not visible and you can’t see their effects, it becomes difficult to adjust them properly. Initially, I thought it was a computer issue and spent two hours trying to solve it. Just as I was about to give up, I discovered the cause.

The problem was that the Image Quality was set to level one. Simply pressing the shortcut key F4 to improve image quality resolves the issue.

The final lighting effect after adjustment is illustrated in the image below:
