How to Add Arc Length Annotations to Graphic Objects in Revit

How to Annotate Arc Lengths of Graphic Objects in Revit

In the Annotation tab, the Arc Length command allows you to dimension curved walls or other curved elements to determine their total length. Follow these steps to annotate arc lengths:

1. Click the Annotation tab, then select the Dimension panel and choose the Arc Length command.

2. On the options bar, pick a snap option, such as Refer to Wall Faces, to snap the cursor onto the inner or outer wall surface. These capture options help you select radial points accurately.

3. Click to select the graphic object you want to annotate with its arc length.

4. Select the two endpoints of the arc, then move the cursor upward, away from the arc, and click to place the arc length dimension.

Note: When selecting the first endpoint, the cursor may display Not selectable. This is normal—simply continue with the operation. Unlike standard dimension annotations, you must first select the arc object before adding the dimension.
