How to Fix the “Rendering Function Currently Disabled” Issue in Revit

After installing Revit and attempting to launch it, you might encounter the following error message:

Rendering features are currently disabled.
You must install the Rendering library to use rendering features.

Note: This issue does not affect Revit LT.

Cause: This error usually means that the Autodesk Material Library was not installed alongside the Revit software.

Solution: To fix this problem, follow these steps to install the Autodesk Material Library:

  1. Open the Revit installation program and navigate to the Installation > Configure Installation page.
  2. Under Shared Components, check the box for Autodesk Material Library.
  3. Click Install to add the library.

Once installation is complete, restart Revit. The rendering library error should no longer appear.
