How to Fix the Issue When the Revit Content Library Is Installed but the Template Is Missing
Issue:
Although you have successfully installed the Revit product, the Content Libraries appear to be missing. This problem occurs even if the Content Libraries are listed under Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. This issue can also affect smaller utility programs.
Solution:
First, navigate to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. If you see the Revit Content Library for your version (e.g., 20xx) listed, please uninstall it.
Next, download the full Revit 20xx installation package using Autodesk Virtual Agent (AVA), the immediate download method, or your browser’s download option.
Important: Ensure that all parts of the Revit 20xx installation files are saved in the same folder (for example, C:Autodesk). Then, double-click the first file (which contains “001” in its filename) to initiate the extraction of the installation files.
After extraction, launch the Revit 20xx installer to install the Content Library.
Make sure to log in as an administrator before proceeding.
Clear your TEMP folder to avoid conflicts. To open it, type %TEMP% in the Windows Explorer address bar and press Enter.
Temporarily disable your antivirus software and turn off User Account Control (UAC) in Windows to prevent installation interruptions.
The installer will detect your existing Revit 20xx installation and will provide the option to install the Content Library.
