Unexpected Shutdown Error When Starting Autodesk Software
Issue:
After installing an Autodesk product, it fails to launch and crashes with the following error message:
“Software issues caused unexpected shutdown.”
Possible Causes:
- The product installation is corrupted.
- Windows operating system is not up-to-date with the latest Windows updates.
- The Autodesk product is not updated to the latest version.
- The graphics card driver is outdated.
Resolution:

Please follow these steps:
- Install all available Windows updates.
- Restart your computer.
- Download and install the latest updates for your Autodesk products. You can find product updates in your Autodesk account.
- Update your graphics card driver. For the latest drivers, visit the official website of your graphics card manufacturer.
- Launch the software again.
Important: If you are using a Windows Insider Preview build, please note that this is a beta version of Windows and may not be officially supported by Autodesk software. You might need to revert to a previous Insider Preview version or switch back to a stable, non-beta version of Windows.
If the issue continues, perform a full uninstallation of the Autodesk software. After that, reinstall the program and repeat steps 3 through 5.
