Autodesk Software Crashes Unexpectedly on Startup Due to Technical Issue

Unexpected Shutdown Error When Starting Autodesk Software

Issue:

After installing an Autodesk product, it fails to launch and crashes with the following error message:

“Software issues caused unexpected shutdown.”

Possible Causes:

  • The product installation is corrupted.
  • Windows operating system is not up-to-date with the latest Windows updates.
  • The Autodesk product is not updated to the latest version.
  • The graphics card driver is outdated.

Resolution:

Note: If you encounter this error when launching an AutoCAD 2014-based application on Windows 10, please refer to the article “AutoCAD 2014 based products crash when launching on Windows 10”.

Please follow these steps:

  1. Install all available Windows updates.
  2. Restart your computer.
  3. Download and install the latest updates for your Autodesk products. You can find product updates in your Autodesk account.
  4. Update your graphics card driver. For the latest drivers, visit the official website of your graphics card manufacturer.
  5. Launch the software again.

Important: If you are using a Windows Insider Preview build, please note that this is a beta version of Windows and may not be officially supported by Autodesk software. You might need to revert to a previous Insider Preview version or switch back to a stable, non-beta version of Windows.

If the issue continues, perform a full uninstallation of the Autodesk software. After that, reinstall the program and repeat steps 3 through 5.
