Creating Multiple Zones in a Space Using Revit: A Step-by-Step Guide

How to Create Multiple Zones in a Space Using Revit

Spaces can be divided to define areas with distinct environmental requirements.

Start by using spatial separation lines to divide the area. Then, place spaces within each subdivided region and assign each space to its own partition. If a space already exists in the area before division, it will remain where its spatial reference point lies after segmentation. You will need to add new spaces to the remaining areas.

In the Project Browser, open the floor plan that contains the area you want to divide.

Go to the Analysis tab, then select the Space and Partition panel (space divider).

Draw lines to split the space into the number of zones required for different partitions.

Place one or more spaces within each newly created zone.

Assign each space to its respective partition.
