Revit Quick Modeling: Automatically Partition and Generate Floor Slabs from Beam and Column Enclosures

Creating Floor Slabs

Floor slabs can be automatically generated based on the enclosed topological areas defined by beams, columns, and column caps within the project.

On the Baoye Quick Construction tab, locate the Building Structure section and click the Floor Creation icon.

Next, in the pop-up Floor Automatic Creation Tool dialog box, select the desired floor elevation and floor type to generate, then click OK. Once completed, the floor slab will be automatically created.

The image below illustrates the result of the automatic floor slab division and generation.

The key floor-related options in the Automatic Floor Division window include:

  1. Floor Elevation: Automatically divides the enclosed topological areas—bound by beams, columns, and column caps—into floor slabs within the specified elevation range.
  2. Select Floor Type: Choose the type of floor to create.

g) Aligning Wall Flat Beam to Slab Bottom

This function aligns the top of the wall with the upper beams and slabs, supporting inclined beams and allowing reserved joints.

Navigate to the Baoye Rapid Construction tab, under the Building Structure section, and select Wall, Beam, and Plate Bottom.

In the drawing area, select the wall that requires a flat beam slab and click the Finish button.
