SpeedBo Plugin Functions
1. Draw Lines: Apply hand-drawn graphic styles to the current view or use defined view templates to apply styles across multiple views.
2. Anti-Aliasing: In the “Options” dialog box, the “Use Anti Aliasing” setting has been renamed to “Use Anti Aliasing to Smooth Lines.” You can now enable anti-aliasing globally for all views or selectively for specific views within a project. Corresponding settings in Revit.ini allow predefined user options.
3. Improved Ray Tracing Usability: The interactive “ray tracing” rendering style has been enhanced, delivering faster, higher-quality, and smoother rendering with better color accuracy and shadow rendering on all backgrounds.
4. Formula Updates:
– Exp(x): Previously calculated as 10x, it now correctly computes ex.
– Ln(x): The natural logarithm (base e) is now expressed as ln(x) in formulas.
5. Revit Platform Enhancements: These improvements apply across all Revit versions.

Usage Instructions
1. Launch the required software and select modeling tools, including Excel-based model generators and framework generators.
2. Perform analyses such as frame static analysis, beam static analysis, transverse static analysis, and composite component design.
3. Manage steel structure connection points, including beam-to-hanging end plates and hanging foundations.
4. Utilize tools for sharing, project parameters, component positioning, model comparison, content generation, text generation, and more.

This guide uses the 16th edition as an example.
Plugin size: 211MB (667MB after decompression). The installer is a self-extracting EXE program.

3. Demonstration of Rebar Generation Using the Plugin
Easily and automatically generate steel reinforcement bars using the Revit plugin.
Step 1: Create a simple beam and column model.
Step 2: Begin reinforcing beams and columns by selecting the structural columns that require reinforcement, as shown below:
Step 3: Set basic parameters for reinforcing structural columns.
The plugin loads graphic information from the existing Revit model, including identification, size, and position of structural columns. As a result, many parameters in this dialog box appear grayed out and cannot be modified.
Note: If the option “Save data but do not save generated reinforcement” is unchecked, reinforcement will be generated and displayed in Revit. If checked, reinforcement data will be saved (usable after restarting the extension), but reinforcement will not be visible.
Step 4: Click OK to sequentially add steel bars to other components.
Please note: The reinforcement feature is commonly used in Superb to improve steel bar generation efficiency. However, some recommend combining Revit’s built-in reinforcement tools with the Superb plugin to better represent steel bar performance.
In general, unless specifically needed, it is not advised to generate steel bar models for all components.
