Speedobo Plugin Functions
1. Draw Lines: This feature allows you to apply hand-drawn graphic styles to the current view or define a view template to apply styles across multiple views.
2. Anti-Aliasing: The “Options” dialog now features a “Use Anti Aliasing to Smooth Lines” setting. You can enable anti-aliasing for all views or selected views within a project. These preferences can also be preset in the Revit.ini file for users.
3. Ray Tracing Improvements: The interactive “ray tracing” rendering style has been enhanced for faster, smoother, and higher-quality visuals, with improved color accuracy and shadow rendering on all backgrounds.
4. Formula Updates:
– Exp (x): Earlier versions calculated exp(x) as 10^x. From this version onward, exp(x) is calculated as e^x.
– Ln (x): The natural logarithm (base e) is now expressed as ln(x) according to the formula.
5. Revit Platform Enhancements: These improvements apply across all Revit versions.

Instructions for Use
1. Launch the software and select modeling options, including Excel-based models and framework generators.
2. Perform analyses such as frame static analysis, beam static analysis, transverse static analysis, and composite component design.
3. Manage steel structure connection points, including beams connected to hanging end plates and hanging foundations.
4. Utilize tools like sharing, project parameters, component positioning, model comparison, content generator, and text generator.

Installation Overview
This guide uses the 16th edition as an example.
Plugin size: 211MB (667MB after decompression). The installer is a self-extracting EXE file.

3. Demonstration: Generating Rebar with the Plugin
Easily and quickly generate steel reinforcement bars using the Revit plugin.
Step 1: Create a simple beam and column model.
Step 2: Start reinforcing beams and columns by selecting the structural columns that require reinforcement, as shown below:
Step 3: Set basic parameters for reinforcing structural columns.
The plugin loads graphic data from the Revit model, including identification, size, and position of structural columns. As a result, many parameters in this dialog box are grayed out and cannot be modified.
Note: If the option “Save data but do not save generated reinforcement” is unchecked, reinforcement will be generated and displayed in Revit. If checked, reinforcement data will be saved for use after restarting the extension, but reinforcement will not be displayed.
Step 4: Click OK to sequentially add steel bars to other components.
Please note: The reinforcement function is commonly used in Superb to boost steel bar generation efficiency. However, it’s important to understand that using both Revit’s built-in reinforcement and Superb’s plugin reinforcement can better reflect steel bar performance.
Unless necessary, it is generally not recommended to model all steel bars.
