Our vision was to design a modern primary school and kindergarten that offers a learning environment that is attractive, safe, and easily accessible for every child. Tiunda School serves students from preschool through ninth grade with a simple, robust structure. The brick exterior walls connect the site’s history—previously, this location was home to an old brick factory (BIM). The interior design reflects this simplicity and durability, creating spaces that inspire fun and creativity.

The public areas on the ground floor bring together a small tavern, a square, the main staircase, and multiple shared learning spaces. This layout provides abundant opportunities for fostering community spirit and pride within the school. C.F. Møller Architects collaborated with educational and architectural expert Anna Törnqvist to create a flexible, future-proof learning environment. The design accommodates traditional organizational needs while opening up possibilities for diverse teaching methods and varied seating arrangements.

The new facility also includes a pantry, an extracurricular club space, and a modern sports arena. These additions make the school and campus inviting environments where children feel engaged, motivated, and safe, encouraging social interaction and confidence.

This project was executed as a turnkey development with a strong emphasis on collaboration, ensuring both quality and successful results. The plan involved demolishing the existing school buildings and constructing the new Tiunda School from the ground up.
