Where to Find the Optimal Bow Tools in the Revit Rebar Shape Family
Use the “Excellent Bow” tool to select a segment of the rebar shape. This tool keeps the selected section in its original position during rotation and automatic unfolding.
To access it, open the Family Shape Editor and navigate to the Create tab, then go to the Draw panel. The arched option is recommended.
The bow will automatically adjust its length to maintain balance with the main body, while its orientation within the shape remains fixed.
Tip: Ensure all similar shapes use the same “Excellent Bow Shape”. This consistency helps the shapes stay aligned during modifications.
When this option is enabled, a preferred bow with two parallel lines appears in the rebar shape editor view.
Tip: Design your sketch symmetrically around the center reference line to achieve better results.
