How to Add Pallets to Structural Floor Slabs in Revit
To reinforce the structural floor at the column location, you need to add support plates (pallets). Start by opening a plan view that shows the structural floor above the column.
On the ribbon, navigate to one of the following options to select the structural floor slab tool:
- Structure Tab > Structure Panel > Floor Slab dropdown (choose floor: structure)
- Architecture Tab > Build Panel > Floor Slab dropdown (choose floor: structure)
Next, click on the Modify | Create Floor Boundary tab, then go to the Draw Panel and select Boundary Line. Use the drawing tools to sketch the pallet shape. Make sure your sketch forms a closed loop or boundary.
When your sketch is complete, click on the Modify | Create Floor Boundary tab again and select Mode Panel to finish editing.
You can now view the pallets in elevation or cross-sectional views.
Select the new pallet you created.
Right-click on the pallet and choose Properties (Attributes).
In the Properties palette, adjust the Constraints parameters to set the pallet at the correct elevation within your model.
Click Apply to save the changes.
If necessary, join the geometry of the pallet to adjacent elements to ensure proper connection.
