Walls Created in Revit Structural Template Are Not Visible in the View

Why Are Building Walls Drawn in the Revit Structural Template Not Visible in the View?

In Revit templates—whether in plan, 3D, or elevation views—all views share a common setting: the View Attributes panel is set to Structure by default. This means that although building walls can be drawn in the structural template, they will not be displayed in the current view because of these view-specific settings.

How to Fix This Issue:

  1. Change the category in the View Properties panel for the specific view to Building.
  2. Alternatively, set the category in the View Properties panel to Coordination. The coordination view makes elements visible across all disciplines, including architecture, structure, MEP, and HVAC.
