In July 2015, Greenland GIC partnered with Samsung to develop a fully intelligent ecological residential customization system. The 147-square-meter smart model house was officially unveiled, and Quebao took a closer look at this innovative home.
1. Intelligent Door Lock System
Upon arrival, Quebao was amazed by the door lock, which seemed like something from another world. Not only does it boast a sleek design, but it also offers unique features. As Quebao approached, two numbers lit up, prompting him to enter a password to unlock the door. This security feature ensures that by pressing these two digits before the correct password, no intruder can deduce the code from fingerprints left behind.
The lock features a new Push-Pull design, making it more convenient to open the door. Simply push the handle outward to open and pull it inward to close.
It also acts as a security guard. Before leaving home, you can press the security button on the lock. Anyone attempting to exit will trigger an alarm and alert the police. This system can also be integrated with property management to prevent unauthorized intrusions.
Another key feature is fire prevention. If abnormal smoke or temperature is detected indoors, the system will activate an emergency evacuation alarm to provide immediate assistance.
2. Kitchen Operating System
In the kitchen, Quebao discovered a smart interface projected onto the countertop. By touching the surface, you can check the types, weights, and shelf life of ingredients stored in the refrigerator. The system even suggests recipes based on the remaining ingredients.
If the doorbell rings while you’re cooking, a notification appears on the control panel. You can activate the door camera to see who’s there, and if it’s a family member, unlock the door with a single click.
Additionally, it features a child-tracking system that lets you monitor where your child is playing, giving you peace of mind—a feature not even available in Bill Gates’ mansion.
3. Magic Mirror Display System
Outside the bathroom, we encountered a magic mirror. At first glance, it looks like a regular mirror, but with a simple wave of your hand, it comes to life.
- It connects to the toilet and automatically displays your body indicators and health status in real time.
- If you want to catch up on the news while brushing your teeth, there’s no need to go to the living room—you can watch it on the magic mirror and even enjoy your favorite concerts.
- It also serves as your travel assistant, providing daily weather updates, air quality reports, traffic conditions, and the best travel routes.
4. Mobile Socket System
In the bedroom, Quebao discovered that the electrical outlets on the baseboards are movable. You can reposition them wherever you want. Even better, they remain powered and ready to use immediately after plugging back in. This innovation is simple, convenient, practical, and hassle-free.
5. Intelligent Terminal Control
Finally, Quebao introduces the intelligent control terminal jointly developed by Greenland and Samsung.
In this futuristic home, you can upload and generate personalized health reports in real time using simple home devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. These reports can be sent directly to your doctor to safeguard your health.
Electrical monitoring keeps you informed about your home’s electricity and gas consumption in real time, preventing unexpected outages. The PM2.5 sensor is linked to indoor fresh air units, allowing you to monitor air quality inside and outside your home at all times.
Quebao’s Thoughts
