Recently, Chongqing Yifan Engineering Cost Consulting Co., Ltd. signed a contract with Luban Software to provide BIM project services. The Chongqing Convention and Exhibition Center Phase II project, which involves management consulting services, has adopted Luban’s BIM technology and services. Through a short period of implementation, the project has achieved notable results in applying BIM technology.
The Chongqing Yuelai Investment Group’s Chongqing Convention and Exhibition Center Phase II project is situated in the Liangjiang Business Center area, east of the International Expo Center. It features two underground floors and five above-ground floors. The first basement level houses the office cafeteria and garage, while the second basement level contains the garage equipment room. Floors one through five are designated as office spaces. The above-ground construction area covers 26,371.8 square meters, the underground area spans 10,000 square meters, totaling 36,371.8 square meters of construction space.

BIM Model Creation: Chongqing Yifan Engineering Cost Consulting Co., Ltd. developed a construction model that meets BIM modeling requirements. The model is continuously maintained and updated throughout the project’s implementation.

Identification and Organization of Drawing Issues: During the modeling process, any drawing issues were identified and documented. This step helps minimize design changes, rework, and other complications during construction.
Collision Detection: Collision checks were conducted, followed by the issuance of collision and reserved hole reports. These reports lay the groundwork for comprehensive pipeline optimization.
Preliminary Engineering Quantity and Change Data Analysis: Chongqing Yifan Engineering Cost Consulting Co., Ltd. performed quantity analyses comparing steel reinforcement, civil engineering, and other specialties against the bidding list quantities. The model was adjusted to reflect design changes during implementation, allowing for cost impact assessments. This provides owners with more accurate and timely cost control and management.
