How to create curtain wall system from volume in RevitUse“ Curtain Wall System; Tool to create curtain wall systems on any volume face or regular model face. There are no editable sketches for the curtain wall system. If you need editable sketches about vertical mass faces, please use curtain walls. Note: You cannot edit the outline of the curtain wall system. If you want to edit the outline, place a curtain wall. Create a curtain wall system from the volume surface to open a view that displays the volume.
Click“ Volume and Venue; Tab“ Surface Model” Panel (Curtain Wall System).
In the type selector, select a curtain wall system type.
Use curtain wall system types with curtain wall grid layout.
(Optional) To create a curtain wall system from a volumetric surface, click“ Modify | Place Face Curtain Wall System” Tab“ Multiple Choice” Select multiple panels to disable it. (By default, it is enabled.)
Move the cursor to highlight a face.
Click to select the face.
If cleared“ Select multiple options; Option will immediately place the curtain wall system on the surface.
If enabled“ Select multiple options; Please select more volume surfaces as follows:
Click on the unselected face to add it to the selection. Click on the selected face to delete it.
The cursor will indicate whether a (+) face is being added or a (‐) face is being deleted.
Tip: Drag the pick box onto the entire shape to generate a curtain wall system as a whole.
To clear the selection and restart the selection, click“ Modify | Place Face Curtain Wall System” Tab“ Multiple Choice” Panel (clear selection).
With the desired face selected, click“ Modify | Place Face Curtain Wall System” Tab“ Multiple Choice” Panel“ Create a curtain wall;.
