As illustrated in the figure, removing floor names from elevation headers in Revit requires creating a new family group.
Follow these steps:
1. In the Project Browser, locate the family, open the annotation symbol, select the elevation header, right-click, and choose the Edit option.
2. When the header pattern opens, click Save As and rename the file. Then, delete the name box on the right side of the elevation and save your changes. Next, select the Family Types option in the toolbar, click New, enter a name for the family, and choose Load into Project within the Family Editor.
3. Reopen the south elevation view, select Elevation 1, open the Edit Type dialog box, and click the symbol option under the graphics section. From the drop-down list, find and select the newly created family. Confirm your selection, and a new elevation header without floor names will be created.
