How to Merge Spaces in Revit
To merge divided spaces in Revit, start by deleting the spatial separation line. Open the plan view that contains the spaces you want to merge.
Next, enable the visibility of partitions and spaces within that view.
Keep in mind that partition visibility only activates if the space you want to merge has already been assigned to a partition.
If the space has been added to a partition, you will need to delete that partition before proceeding.
After merging, identify the space that correctly defines the heating and cooling load requirements. Delete any other spaces within the merged area to avoid conflicts.
Note: When merging regions that contain spaces, make sure to delete one of the overlapping spaces. Otherwise, you will receive a warning indicating that the same enclosed area contains multiple spaces.
Finally, remove the spatial separation line.
Once this is done, multiple regions will merge into a larger space, and the spatial boundary will adjust to encompass the entire merged area.
