How to Delete a Space in Revit
If you no longer need to keep the information for a selected space, you can delete it from your project. This process allows you to remove one or multiple spaces efficiently. If your project does not already include a space schedule, you should create one first.
In the Project Browser, navigate to Detailed List/Quantity, then double-click to open the space schedule.
Follow one of the options below:
- To delete a single space, select the row corresponding to the space you want to remove.
- To delete multiple spaces at once, click and drag your cursor across the rows representing the spaces to be deleted. The selected rows will be highlighted.
On the options bar, click Delete. Alternatively, you can right-click on the selected rows and choose Delete from the context menu.
When prompted by the warning message box, click Confirm to proceed.
The selected space(s) will be removed from your project, and all related information about these spaces will be permanently deleted.
Tip: To quickly delete multiple unplaced spaces, select them from a space schedule that lists only unplaced spaces.
