How to Position Steel Bars in IFC-Imported Objects within Revit

How to Place Steel Bars in Objects Imported from IFC Files into Revit

Solution:

When you import objects from IFC files into Revit, they are automatically assigned to various family types. If the imported element is categorized as a Structural Framework, Structural Column, or Structural Foundation, reinforcement can be placed directly.

For elements classified as Wall or Floor, you need to enable the Structural parameter in their properties. This activation allows steel bars to be applied to these elements.

If the element type is Generic Model, use the On-site Editing feature and activate Can Host Rebar in the properties. This will enable you to add reinforcement to these elements.
