BIM Software Tip: How to Solve the Issue of Revit Not Displaying Drawn Elements
There are several reasons why graphic elements might not appear on a flat surface in Revit. Below are the common causes and explanations:
1. Procedural Issues
If you draw pipes in the building’s plan view following the regulations, but the pipes do not show up, this might be due to procedural errors during the drawing process.
2. Filter Issues
Filters in Revit come in two types: system-defined filters and custom filters.
System-defined filters include categories such as model categories and annotation categories.
Custom filters refer to filters created by the user to meet specific project needs.
3. View Template
If a view template is applied to your current view, the display will follow the settings defined by that template. This can affect the visibility of certain elements.
4. Visibility of Specific Graphic Elements
Some elements, like steel bars, require manual adjustment of visibility settings to be displayed properly in the view.
