BIM Software Tip: Revit Mass Surface Mesh Division and Pattern Filling

Understanding surface mesh division and pattern filling for mass volumes:

1. Open an existing mass family file and select the desired surface.

2. In the ribbon, click on “Divide Surface” to generate a UV grid division on the selected surface.

3. Adjust the UV grid by selecting the mesh and modifying the related parameters in the properties dialog box.

4. To apply a fill pattern, select the UV grid, choose the desired pattern from the properties dialog box, and click the “Apply” button to complete the filling process.
