Customizing Backgrounds in Revit: A Practical Guide

BIM Software Tip: How to Modify the Background in Revit

Many users are familiar with the gradient background in Navisworks, but few have explored the gradient background feature in Revit. This is mainly because Revit is less commonly used for rendering compared to other software, and its background settings are not as visually appealing. Additionally, this feature is tucked away in a small, somewhat hidden location.

The background modification in Revit is different from simply switching to a reversed color scheme, which turns everything black. Instead, it is more akin to changing the color of the floor within the view.

You can find this setting inside the View tab, under Graphics, by clicking the small arrow at the bottom.
