BIM Software Tip: How to Draw Duct Fitting Directions in Revit
For engineers working on duct modeling, duct fittings play a crucial role. Today, we’ll share a useful tip related to fitting orientation. Please refer to the images below.

As shown in these two images, the direction of the pipe fittings is reversed. Our goal is to align the duct fitting orientation in the Revit model with that of the CAD drawing. Fortunately, Revit offers a convenient feature to do this.
When you select a four-way pipe fitting in Revit, two controls appear that allow you to flip the fitting up/down or left/right. (If the controls are not immediately visible after selecting the fitting, try experimenting yourself to see them in action, as screenshots are not provided here.)
