BIM Software Tip: Easily Change Revit Curtain Wall Mullion Styles
The default curtain wall mullions in Revit often look unattractive and may not have the right dimensions for your project. When working on detailed curtain wall designs, it’s sometimes necessary to create custom mullion families. The image above highlights the issues with the standard mullions.
Follow these steps to customize your curtain wall mullions:
1. Create a new curtain wall mullion family by drawing the desired mullion profile to suit your design requirements (this can be done within the family editor).
2. Draw the curtain wall and set up its grid lines as needed.
3. Load your custom curtain wall mullion family into the curtain wall project.
4. Replace the default system mullions by copying and creating new mullions using your custom family.
5. This method allows you to modify curtain wall mullions to any size or style as required for your project.

How to make corner studs?
It is also a conventional modeling.
There will be two vertical columns at the corner, and the default 90 degree L-shaped vertical column method is to delete one vertical column and replace the other with an L-shaped vertical column to obtain a 90 degree vertical column. However, it seems that the vertical column I made myself cannot change the angle I want to change. Can you please advise on how to do it?
