Troubleshooting Dimensional Display Issues in Revit Piping and Air Duct Annotations

BIM Software Tip: Troubleshooting Size Display Issues with Revit Piping (Duct) Accessory Annotations

1. Start by creating a new mechanical prototype project and setting up a shared parameter file.

2. Define a shared parameter named AA.

3. Add this shared parameter to your project, ensuring it is assigned to the pipeline accessories category.

4. On the floor plan, draw several pipe sections with varying diameters. Add valves to these sections and annotate the valves accordingly.

5. Edit the valve family by adding parameters. Select the shared parameter AA and set it equal to the nominal diameter. Then, load the updated family back into the project.

6. Next, edit the pipeline accessory tag family and load it into the project.

7. Review the final result to confirm that the size display issues have been resolved.
