How to Create Landscape Covers in SketchUp
I’ve been using SketchUp for several years. Initially, I spent an entire week manually drawing lines and creating covers for large scenes. Now, with the help of plugins, the same process takes less than a minute. Through this experience, I’ve gained valuable insights.
Many users struggle with creating covers after importing CAD files into SketchUp. The cover is the foundation for all subsequent modeling, so it’s crucial to seal the surface properly. Failing to do so can lead to unnecessary complications later on.
While my method might not be the absolute best, it is straightforward and effective. I want to share it with you in hopes that it will be helpful.
You can search for and download relevant plugins on Baidu.
Here’s how to use the plugin:
- Select all the lines.
- Click the automatic cover function.
The default settings usually work well, but you can customize the values if needed.
